LivingDock gives running apps a small animated presence on your desktop. A pet can sit near the edge of the screen, show that an app has windows open, and bring you back to the right place with one click.
Music pet
Press play and the desk starts moving.
The music pet represents the app that is playing audio. On this page, the play button starts an online lo-fi radio stream; in the app, the same idea can help make playback feel visible without opening Music or Spotify.

Calendar pet
Meetings become a thing on the desk.
A calendar pet can wait quietly until there is something upcoming, then switch into a speaking or working state. It is a softer cue than a notification and easier to notice than a tiny menu-bar time.
- Glance at upcoming events without opening Calendar.
- Click the pet to return to the calendar app.
- Hover to see the relevant calendar windows.
Code pet
Your work app gets a visible anchor.
Hooded-code and robocat are good fits for focused work. They can show a working state while you are building, a speaking state when something needs attention, and a hover preview for the editor and terminal windows you left open.

Notes pet
A small reminder that writing is still open.
Notes, drafts, research, and launch checklists often disappear behind other windows. A notes pet keeps that context visible without forcing a permanent sidebar onto your screen.
